The Oris Flight Timer is produced in an edition of exactly 4118 units worldwide, all individually numbered. Why 4118? This is a tribute to the legendary Hurricane R4118 and the great deeds of aviation. In the Battle of Britain the British Hurricane dominated the air. Half a century later Peter Vacher, an engineer and pilot, discovered in India the wreckage of a R4118 and restored it – leading to the great moment recently, where the old fighter plane again flew over England. This exclusive pilot’s watch with High-Mech automatic movement unites past and present. Just like cockpit watches of old, it is equipped with a big vertical crown that sets a second time zone by turning the ring on the dial. The push buttons and crown are also exceptional, as they are on the left- hand side of the watch. The edition comes with the facinating book “Hurricane R4118” by Peter Vacher.
