In 1969, in honor of this impressive Grand Prix, TAG Heuer launched a chronograph with a new form of styling: its water-tight square case - the first in watchmaking history - hides the Chronomatic, the world\'s first automatic chronograph movement with a microrotor. Steve McQueen felt at home with this audacious and rebelious timepiece and adopted the watch in 1970 during the film "Le Mans", entirely dedicated to motor racing. Just as original today, the Monaco embodies the avant-garde spirit which inspires TAG Heuer.
